Introduction

MF Drain

MF Drain designs and verifies internal and external roof drainage systems. Calculations include gutter and downpipe drainage, including emergency drainage, according to DIN 1986 Part 100 and DIN 12056 Part 3. All necessary master data for the calculation is included in the program. This includes rainfall data (KOSTRA-DWD), drains, gutters, spouts, runoff coefficients...

  • The Basic version is a stand-alone program. It requires manual input of roof areas along with associated drainage elements (gutters, drains, downpipes).
  • The Professional version also collaborates with the MF DachDesigner and imports its roof models. Sloped roof sections are identified in the process. Additionally, rainfall, location of emergency drainage, information on rainwater retention, as well as all elements of the roof drainage system are incorporated into the drainage verification.

MF Drain checks whether:

  • Steep roofs drain correctly into suspended gutters + downpipes
  • Flat roofs drain correctly into suspended gutters + downpipes
  • Flat roofs contain enough drains
  • emergency drains are adequately sized
  • Internal gutters are correctly sized
  • the roof drainage complies with DIN 1986-100 and DIN EN 12056-3
